Shift and remove as much furniture as possible away from the painting area.
Cover the floor, furniture and the rest of the surface with newspaper or plastic drop cloth.
Protect switches, sockets, window frames and any other wood work with straps of masking tapes.
Scrap off any unstable paint film with a scarper. Then sand down using appropriate sand paper for a smooth finish. Dust off surface after sanding.
Patch up cracks or uneven surfaces with Mesa Putty Filler. Sand down after filler dries up for a smooth finish. Dust off surface after sanding.
Use clean water to clean off any dust or powders from fillers for every surface that is to be painted. Surfaces must be allowed to dry thoroughly before painting.
For new walls, use a wall sealer such as (High performance sealer – 888 or water based wall sealer – 555) to neutralize the alkali on the walls before painting.
