- Poor surface preparation -Failure to remove the grease and rust from the surface before painting will cause the paint to not stick properly when applied.
- Insufficient or no undercoat used.
- Use of Low Quality Paint -Low quality paint which contain binder or pigment that could not withstand the extreme weather.

| Surface Preparation |
Surface must be dry and free from grease, dirt and other contaminants. Steel surfaces should be sanded or wire-brushed or use Mesa Paint Remover to remove unsound paint, mill scales and rust.

| General painting system for metal surface is as follows: |
1.One coat of Mesa Metal Protective Primer.
